Welcome to the Northampton Film Festival. We, at City Hall, are proud to host this extraordinary independent film festival for the 8th year. We are thrilled that new director David Kleiler and managing director Charlie Burke have chosen to continue this tradition and we take this opportunity to offer our congratulations on what is guaranteed to be a superb collection of domestic and international films.

This film festival is one of the premier annual arts events sponsored in the City. It has helped earn us the distinction of being named the #1 Small Arts Town by noted art expert and author John Vilani, and the American Style Magazine has named our town, for two years in a row, as one of the top 25 Small Arts Destinations.

Northampton recognizes that arts and culture are integral to our community. We believe it to be essential to our sense of identity, liveliness, and civic pride. The arts, entertainment, eclectic restaurants, independent retailers, and respect for diversity of viewpoints distinguish Northampton as a special place to live.

Northampton is perfectly situated between the Connecticut River and the Berkshire Mountains. New England's history and breathtaking landscapes beckon to those who visit.
